I am running for office because I recognize the significant challenges we face in our current political climate. We are entering a new era that requires strong leaders ready to tackle these issues head-on.
Having grown up in a challenging environment on Bankhead Highway, I lost both my parents by the age of 11 and entered the foster care system. It was through the social security death benefits that I received from my father's passing that allowed me to eat while attending the University of Pennsylvania. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the critical role Social Security plays for families.
Furthermore, I was fortunate to receive a minority scholarship from Mobile Oil, which afforded me the ability to obtain my MBA at Columbia University. The minority dealers training program from Ford enabled me to embark on my entrepreneurial journey and acquire my Ford dealership, which I rescued from bankruptcy.
I am compelled to run because I believe all children deserve the same opportunities I had. As a father of three, I am dedicated to ensuring that future generations have a chance to succeed in the same way that I did. This time calls for someone who is able to face the challenges ahead.
